6 Questions With Venture Philly:

Sarah Buslewicz Shares Her Philly Favorites, Real Estate Advice, & Info For New Residents to Philadelphia.

Meet Sarah.

Sarah is originally from Connecticut, but once made the move to South New Jersey that's when she fell in love with Philadelphia. She enjoys exploring the restaurant and music scene in the city.. She grew up watching HGTV and working in real estate has always felt like a dream to her. She started her career in customer service while attending school for health and nutrition sciences. But that nagging voice that told her to pursue real estate never left her head. Sarah loves to meet new and interesting people and making a difference in people's lives. Combine that with her love for houses, becoming a real estate agent was a no brainer. She is most excited about getting to be a part of making people's dreams come true. When Sarah is not working or planning her next travel destination, you can find her exploring local parks and trails or curled up on the couch watching the latest true crime documentary.

What is your favorite Philadelphia neighborhood and why?

Fishtown has a special place in my heart. For me, it has a great hipster, indie vibe that I really love plus it has a tight knit community feel. My perfect day time adventure would include brunch at Front Street Cafe followed by coffee at La Colombe, record thrifting at Jinxed Fishtown or Philadelphia record exchange. At night I would grab a beer at Source, food at Cheu and a show at the Fillmore or Punch Line.

Why did you decide you wanted to get into the real estate business?

I am a self proclaimed “HGTV kid.” I spent a lot of time growing up watching House Hunters. I found a lot of joy in watching people search for and decide on a home. Even though it may not be as seamless as it looks on TV, I pinch myself every day knowing I get to help people find their dream home in real life.

If you were to buy an investment property in 2022 and plan on selling in 2027, which neighborhood would you target and why?

I’d say Fishtown, even though it is a hot neighborhood, home prices are still very affordable.

If you were entertaining an out of town guest who has never been to Philadelphia before, what restaurant would you take them to first?

I hate to be cliche but Parc never fails to impress an out of town guest. Plus, the view of Rittenhouse Square is hard to beat.

When you're not assisting clients with their real estate needs, what do you enjoy doing in your downtime?

I am both a homebody and an adventurer. My favorite going-out activities include concerts, eating at great restaurants and being active by roller skating, rock climbing, or hiking. But I equally love hanging out on the couch with my cat watching true crime.

One piece of advice you would give a first time home buyer before starting the process?

Get really clear on what you want! The clearest visions are the easiest to make reality.
