Casey Walker Shares her Philly Favorites, Insights on Real Estate, & Info For New Philadelphia Residents.

Meet Casey.

Casey has been a resident in Philadelphia since 2016. After graduating from Drexel University, she began her real estate career. In the past several years, Casey has worked with dozens of clients moving in and around the Philadelphia area to connect them with their ideal living situation. Clients have described her as someone who is friendly, responsive, and an excellent realtor, as well as knowledgeable about the field of real estate and Philadelphia as a whole. In her free time, Casey is most likely to be found enjoying nature with her dog, Ava. She enjoys hiking in the mountains of Pennsylvania, kayaking, and swimming. She loves finding hidden gems in all of Philadelphia’s beautiful neighborhoods, getting to know the locals, and being part of a loving community.

What is your favorite Philadelphia neighborhood and why?

My favorite neighborhood in Philly is Old City. I’ve lived here for two years, and don’t plan on leaving anytime soon. It’s an exciting feeling to be able to walk out your front door and have endless possibilities of what to do. It’s one of those neighborhoods where you really start to feel like a local fast. And who doesn’t love a good night out at Buffalo Billiards?

What do you love about being in real estate?

I’ve always found myself to be a people person, and I love that in real estate you build so many meaningful personal connections. Philadelphia has so much to offer and I love watching a client fall in love with their new neighborhood and new home.

What is the one thing any new resident should know before moving to Philadelphia?

Anyone moving to Philadelphia should take some time to visit all of the different neighborhoods. Check out a variety of restaurants, bars, parks, farmer’s markets, and ask the locals what they think of their neighborhood. While it’s hard to go wrong- everyone is different, and it’s worth finding your perfect fit.

Available Fishtown Properties:

If you were entertaining an out of town guest who has never been to Philadelphia before, what restaurant would you take them to first?

I would take them to Glory Beer Bar & Kitchen. The food is incredible and the people are really friendly. They have a revolving menu 36 beers on tap, and an awesome atmosphere that includes playing only in house vinyl.

When you’re not assisting your clients, what do you do in your spare time?

Most of my free time is spent enjoying nature with my dog! Whether its walking through the beautiful historic gardens in Old City, or heading to Wissahickon Valley Park for a hike.

What is one piece of advice you would give a first time home buyer before starting the process?

As a first time homebuyer, I’d recommend looking into an area where you expect to see growth.
