Why We Love It

Just West of Center City, Rittenhouse Square is an elite Philadelphia neighborhood. Spanning from Market to South streets, and running East to West from Broad Street to the Schuylkill River, living in Rittenhouse Square is a lifestyle of its own. Along every street residents will find sidewalk seating for fine dining during warmer weather, high-end stores and locally owned boutiques, cafés and bars, and no shortage of galleries and theaters to entertain!

Neighborhood Feel

Both family friendly, and perfect for younger residents, Rittenhouse Square feels like a quiet break from the usual bustle of city life. Only steps from the heart of Center City, the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood embodies the peaceful serenity of Rittenhouse Square Park in its wide sidewalks and slow foot traffic, creating luxury even in its ambiance.

Our Favorite Restaurants

Enjoy al fresco happy hour at Parc or a world-class dinner at Barclay Prime - both options are right on the square! Other local favorites include The Dandelion Pub, and DanDan Sichuan and Taiwanese Cuisine.

Arts and Culture

Just a few blocks off Rittenhouse Square Park sits The Rosenbach, which boasts a collection of manuscripts, and fine and decorative arts objects, including world-renowned literary and historical objects, as well as The Center For Emerging Visual Artists. Both The Kimmel Center for the Preforming Arts and The Merriam Theatre are within walking distance of the square, providing residents with easy access to broadway shows, and local arts and culture!

Local Parks

Rittenhouse Square Park is the focal point of the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood, and was part of William Penn’s original plans for the city-scape. Home to some of the best outdoor sculptures, a reflection pool, shady walking paths, and a feeling of old-world refinement, there are few places like Rittenhouse Square Park. Other nearby parks include Fitler Square Park and Schuylkill River Park.

The Rittenhouse Square neighborhood is part of the School District of Philadelphia, with K-8 at the Albert M Greenfield School and 9-12 at the Benjamin Franklin High School.
