Take a Trip - Media

Sitting 12 miles from Philadelphia, Media Borough is part of Delaware County, and is just 0.8 square miles. This borough is perfect for families and small businesses — an incredibly walkable neighborhood with area parks, schools, playgrounds and entertainment, Media is charming little borough outside the city.

Why We Love It

Media has a perfect blend of sophisticated and traditional homes, new modern styles, and everything in between. This small, welcoming neighborhood of residents call a richly historic region their home, seeing continual growth to their community. The central State Street is the bloodline of the city, as it’s hub for shopping, dining, and entertainment, with a Trolly that runs all the way to 69th Street station.

Neighborhood Feel

Charming, beautiful, and community oriented, Media has become an incredibly popular part of the Delaware County region, in part due to its mixture of authentic and contemporary attitudes. With the neighborhood slogan, “Everyone’s Home” Media is truly a welcoming and progressive borough, just outside of Philadelphia.

Our Favorite Restaurants

A local favorite, La Belle Epoque, is an authentic French restaurant and wine bistro, incredibly popular among Media residents. Newly opened La Catrina Mexican Cuisine serves light, fresh, and modern Mexican food, snd classic cocktails in a casual ambiance. Other local favorites include Desert Rose Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Cuisine, and Sopasso Italian Grill.

Arts and Culture

The Delaware County Institute of Science exhibits a wide collection of minerals and wildlife, with an herbarium of local flora and fauna, and a vast collection of historical texts. Local theatre, The Media Theatre, is Delco’s only professional music theatre, putting on Broadway style shows for it’s residents, and offering acting classes and summer programs for neighborhood youth. Live music at restaurants in Media is a regular occurrence, for both indoor and outdoor dining!

Local Parks

Glen Providence Park, a 33 acre historical park with 2 miles of pet-friendly hiking trails with views of the wetlands, that lead to a peaceful pond at the center of the park, was the first park in Delaware County! Green walks, planting days, and free public events are hosted frequently by the Friends of Glen Providence Park, making it a wonderful place to spend some time outdoors with friends and family. Cherry Street and Houtman and Phillip Green Parks are also nearby favorites, especially for families!

Schools

Media borough is part of the Rose Tree Media School District, a major draw for families looking to relocate, with four elementary school options, one middle, and one high school option!
