Take a Trip - Logan Square

Contained by Market Street on the South and Spring Garden Street on the North, and Broad Street on the east, and the Schuylkill River on the West, Logan Square rests in the Northwest sector of Center City, Philadelphia. Named for one of William Penn’s original five “squares” of Philadelphia, Logan Square offers residents a dense urban feel, with a population made up mostly of young professionals and retirees.

Why We Love It

Logan Square is comprised of luxury high-rises and municipal buildings, mixed with historic homes along peaceful tree lines streets. Numerous green spaces in and around Logan Square offer residents a space for relaxation and fun with friends and family, and nearby attractions including the Philadelphia Museum of Art make Logan Square an ever-popular Philadelphia neighborhood. The neighborhood’s namesake, Logan Circle, offers respite to residents and tourists alike, surrounded by noteworthy sites such as The Franklin Institute and the Free Library of Philadelphia.

Neighborhood Feel

Easily accessible by public transportation, the SEPTA Regional Rail lines and buses stop at Suburban Station, and the Market-Frankford Line and North-South Broad Street Line subways both converge at City Hall, a focal point of the Logan Square area. Much of Philadelphia’s Central Business District is locates in Logan Square, as well as a majority of Philadelphia’s top tourist attractions from the arts to National Register of Historic Locations sites.

A Philly favorite in Logan Square is the Urban Farmer, a modern steakhouse located in the Logan Hotel. Other local favorites include the Assembly Rooftop Lounge, The Dandelion Pub, and Sabrina’s Cafe.

A hub of local arts, Logan Square nearby the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Moore College of Art & Design featuring the Galleries at Moore, as well as a vast array of public art!

Local Parks

As implied, Logan Circle is a mainstay of the Logan Square neighborhood in Philadelphia, with it’s own historical ties and happenings. Nearby Sister Cities Park is a popular family-friendly outdoors destination, as well as Dilworth Park at City Hall. Just a short drive or train ride from Logan Square, residents can visit Fairmount Park and spend the day exploring biking trails or soaking up some sun!
