Take a Trip - Gladwyne

The “it” zip code for Philadelphia’s Main Line, Gladwyne PA is a luxurious neighborhood just twenty minutes outside the city.  Home to a perfect mix of must-have amenities and high-brow attractions, Gladwyne has a unique and exclusive feel rooted in it’s history and community.

Why We Love It

One of the most popular Philadelphia suburbs, Gladwyne is part of the Lower Merion Township. Just minutes from the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76), commuting into Philadelphia is as easy as ever. Past residents of Gladwyne include 76ers’ Allen Iverson, marking this community as an upscale and luxurious Main Line neighborhood.

Neighborhood Feel

Comprised predominantly of single family homes, Gladwyne is a picture-perfect suburb. With homes averaging 38 days on the market, and selling for an average of $1.09M, Gladwyne is without a doubt one of our favorite Main Line neighborhoods. Getting around the Gladwyne area requires a car, as there is no train station in the immediate neighborhood, however, all the must-have amenities are easily accessible!

Our Favorite Restaurants

Located in an 18th-century building, The Union League Guard House serves classic American cuisine with German influences. Perfect for a quick bite to eat, Gladwyne Lunch Box offers some quick and delicious menu items. Because Philadelphia’s Main Line is so well connected, getting to other neighborhoods to enjoy their cuisine is completely doable!

Arts and Culture

Because Gladwyne is a largely residential neighborhood, the downtown area includes the must-haves, with shopping and dining taking place mostly outside the downtown limits. In neighboring towns, family friendly galleries and museums are open to the public, and several area museums are also offering virtual exhibitions.

Local Parks

Rolling Hill Park, a 103 acre public park, is a phenomenal place to spend some time outdoors. With a creek, hiking and equestrian trails & historic landmarks, including a mill & housing ruins, exploring Rolling Hill Park is a wonderful afternoon activity. Flat Rock Park overlooks to water, making it a perfect picnic location, and Henry Lane Park is a pet-friendly location perfect for walking dogs or enjoying a stroll through nature.

Schools

Gladwyne is part of the Lower Merion School District, serviced by the Gladwyne Elementary School. You can find out more about area schools on the Lower Merion School District website here!
