Why Fishtown is the Hottest Neighborhood in Philly

Fishtown, Philadelphia, PA

A hub for dining and entertainment, Fishtown is a neighborhood on the rise! With no shortage of restaurants, galleries, theaters and parks, Fishtown is a family friendly neighborhood supported by its residents and their commitment to shopping locally.

Why We Love It: Fishtown is a focal point for new businesses, bringing economic growth and a cultural boom into this trendy neighborhood!

North of Girard Ave. along the Delaware River, what began as a tiny fishing village in the 1700’s, has become one of Philadelphia's most exciting neighborhoods to live in. Family owned businesses sit beside new bars and restaurants, and narrow streets and row houses give Fishtown a charm unlike any other Philly neighborhood, at just a 10 minute ride from Center City on the Market-Frankford Line!

Neighborhood Feel: This eclectic neighborhood melds together old and new, with exciting shops and incredible restaurants!

Our Favorite Restaurants: Lebanese inspired Suraya Market, Restaurant and Garden offers pickup and delivery options, as well as an eclectic market of spices and goods! Serving up delicious brunch, lunches and dinners, Saruya is a must-try in Fishtown. Our other favorites include Wm. Mulherin’s Sons, a cozy and classic Italian restaurant, Hiroki, which serves up traditional Japanese fare, and of course, La Colombe, a Philly staple!

Arts and Culture: Discover artwork from local artists at Crane Arts, and get in touch with your inner creative!

Local Parks: Penn Treaty Park, located on the Western bank of the Delaware River is the perfect picnic spot, with beautiful landscaping and serene views of the water. Residents of Fishtown also enjoy Palmer Park and its extensive collection of trees and park benches, with the added benefit of the adjacent Palmer Doggie Depot!
